Trip to IUCAA on 29th Feb 2020

A trip to IUCAA was organised on celebration of National Science Day On 29th February 2020. 16 students of TYBSc(Maths) along with Prof. Akhlaque Ahmed of the department participated.They gain the knowledge about Black holes and Clusters.Over all the trip was fruitful and students enjoyed it.

A study Tour  to  Nehru Planetarium and Science Park, Mumbai. An Excursion Tour to visit Nehru Planetarium and Science park (Mumbai) was organized by the department on 16 January 2016 . The team of around 31 students of S.Y/T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three  staff members visited the place. The   visit inspired the students for higher studies. Intercollegiate Quiz Competition -2024

  Department of mathematics, statistics in association with IQAC  had organized Intercollegiate Quiz Competition on 14th March 2024. The Competition marked a celebration of intellectual mastery and mathematical excellence. The event brought together enthusiastic participants from various colleges, like Nowrosjee Wadia College, Fergusson College, SM Joshi College, MIT-ADT University creating an environment of healthy competition. Total 50 participants have participated in quiz competitions of which 21 participants from outside colleges. The competition kicked off with an energizing quiz, testing participants' mathematical sharpness and problem-solving skills.   The event provided a platform for students to showcase their academic talents, fostered a sense of community among participants, and promoted interdisciplinary collaboration. Bridge Course for FYBSc(Computer Science) Div A And B

  The Bridge course was conducted by the Department of Mathematics from 0 7 /0 7 /202 5  to 12 /0 7 /202 5.  Mrs. Shaheen Khan and Mrs Munzarin Sajjan  were the coordinators.     The main objective of the bridge course is to bridge the gap between subjects studied at School level and subjects they would be studying in Graduation. The syllabus for the course is framed in such a way that they get basic knowledge on the subjects whom they would be learning through graduation.      Bridge course provided students with better preparation for entering college-level science courses, helping them feel more confident and prepared as they start their studies.
