Alumni meet Aug, 2024

 

Department of Mathematics in association with IQAC organised Alumni meet on 24th August 2024 under the guidance of the principal Dr Iqbal Shaikh and Vice Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh .

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran (Tilawate Quran)._

Dr. Amjad  Vice Principal and Head of Department, delivered a welcome address, sharing valuable information and setting the tone for the event.

The event provided a platform for our esteemed alumni to share their experiences, insights, and guidance with the current student community. - _

Akib Shaikh_ (Prominent Alumnus) shared his expertise on the IT sector, providing valuable information on the latest trends and opportunities.

- Shoaib Shaikh guided students on career paths in data science, highlighting the importance of skill development and industry applications.

- Mujtaba proposed an innovative program where alumni can lead and mentor undergraduate students, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

 The alumni meet was a resounding success, providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, guidance, and networking. We look forward to implementing the proposed program and continuing to strengthen our alumni connections.

A study Tour to  Science Park, Chinchwad, Pune. A study tour organized by the department of mathematics was held on 19th December  2013 to  Science Park,Chinchwad, Pune. The team of around 30 students of T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three   staff members visited the place.They enjoyed  simulated night sky with various  planets , stars, phases of moon, circumpolar sky on poles and many more features and concepts of basic astronomy.  They also visited various sections of the parks such as Dino park,Fun science,Climate change, energy park & amazing  3D show.They purchased many scientific toys  like mathematics puzzle, balloon  car etc for children, which can create awareness about mathematics & science. The tour has been proved Knowledgeable and beneficial to all of them. A trip to Nehru Planetarium and Science Park, Mumbai-January 2016

A study Tour  to  Nehru Planetarium and Science Park, Mumbai. An Excursion Tour to visit Nehru Planetarium and Science park (Mumbai) was organized by the department on 16 January 2016 . The team of around 31 students of S.Y/T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three  staff members visited the place. The   visit inspired the students for higher studies. It was amazing experience for them  to learn about solar and Lunar eclipses, planets and stars.  They gain beautiful knowledge and  enjoyed  the tour. overall the tour was fruitful.  It has generated interest  among  them about the wonders of science and created awareness about the  various  applications of Mathematics in science and daily life.  A trip to Nehru Planetarium   Tour participants at Gateway of India

A visit to IUCAA on 28th February 2019 (National Science day)

  A visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2019 (National Science day)       Department Of Mathematics Organized  a visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2024 on the occasion of  National Science day.     13  students of  T.Y.B.Sc participated. They gained the knowledge about Galaxies, clusters and recent research in Astronomy and Astrophysics.  Mrs. Munzarin Sajjan and Ms. Namira Shaikh co-ordinated the event and guided the students.
