Intercollegiate Quiz Competition

 


Department of Mathematics in association with IQAC has organized an Intercollegiate Quiz Competition on 29 th January 2025. The Competition marked a celebration of
intellectual mastery and mathematical excellence. The event brought together
enthusiastic participants from various colleges, like Nowrosjee Wadia College,
SM Joshi College, Sarhad College, Dr. Arvind Telang College and SP College etc
creating an environment of healthy competition. Total 54 participants have
participated in quiz competitions of which 24 participants from other colleges.
The competition kicked off with an energizing quiz, testing participants'
mathematical sharpness and problem-solving skills. The event provided a platform
for students to showcase their academic talents, fostered a sense of community
among participants, and promoted interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants
gained valuable insights into diverse mathematical concepts, refined their
presentation skills.

The following are the winners for the quiz competitions:
1. First Prize: Khushi Ghadge (SP College)
Ayush Jachak (SP College)

2. Second Prize: Vaibhavi Botre (Dr. Arvind Telang College)
Ashwini Ghorpade (Dr. Arvind Telang College)

3. Third Prize: Vaishnavi Takawale (Sarhad College)
Sakshi Shingare (Sarhad College)

This event was coordinated by Mrs. Munzarin Sajjan and Dr. Amjad Shaikh.
We thanks to respected Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh sir and Vice-Principal Dr.
Amjad Shaikh sir for guidance, motivation and standing as pillars of strength.

A trip to Nehru Planetarium and Science Park, Mumbai-January 2016

A study Tour  to  Nehru Planetarium and Science Park, Mumbai. An Excursion Tour to visit Nehru Planetarium and Science park (Mumbai) was organized by the department on 16 January 2016 . The team of around 31 students of S.Y/T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three  staff members visited the place. The   visit inspired the students for higher studies. It was amazing experience for them  to learn about solar and Lunar eclipses, planets and stars.  They gain beautiful knowledge and  enjoyed  the tour. overall the tour was fruitful.  It has generated interest  among  them about the wonders of science and created awareness about the  various  applications of Mathematics in science and daily life.  A trip to Nehru Planetarium   Tour participants at Gateway of India

Intercollegiate Quiz Competition -2024

  Department of mathematics, statistics in association with IQAC  had organized Intercollegiate Quiz Competition on 14th March 2024. The Competition marked a celebration of intellectual mastery and mathematical excellence. The event brought together enthusiastic participants from various colleges, like Nowrosjee Wadia College, Fergusson College, SM Joshi College, MIT-ADT University creating an environment of healthy competition. Total 50 participants have participated in quiz competitions of which 21 participants from outside colleges.
