An Educational Tour to
"T.I.F.R Mumbai" 
on 31st January 2018

An Excursion Tour to visit TIFR (Mumbai) was organized by the department 31st Jan 2018.The team of around 31 students of S.Y/T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three staff members visited the place.A lecture by renowned mathematician Dr. Ravi Rao was delivered on the topic "Importance of Mathematics in various branches of science". His ideas set a great impact on every student. They also visited to Nehru Planetarium where they simulated night sky with various planets , stars, phases of moon, circumpolar sky on poles and many more features and concepts of basic astronomy. They gain beautiful knowledge and enjoyed the tour. overall the tour was fruitful. It has generated interest among  them about the wonders of science and created awareness about the various applications of Mathematics in science and daily life.

The tour has been proved Knowledgeable and beneficial to all of them.   A visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2019 (National Science day)       Department Of Mathematics Organized  a visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2024 on the occasion of  National Science day.     13  students of  T.Y.B.Sc participated. They gained the knowledge about Galaxies, clusters and recent research in Astronomy and Astrophysics.  Mrs. Munzarin Sajjan and Ms. Namira Shaikh co-ordinated the event and guided the students.

Outreach Program: Educational Trip to AKIs Urdu School, Mahabaleshwar

 On January 27, 2024, the Department of Mathematics,  in collaboration with IQAC, embarked on an enriching outreach program. As part of this initiative, 43 enthusiastic students from SYBSc, SYBSc (CS), and TYBSc mathematics, accompanied by 5 staff members, ventured to AKIs Urdu School in Mahabaleshwar. This one-day educational trip aimed to share knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts through engaging activities and spark interest and appreciation for mathematics among students at the Urdu school. The program unfolded with a variety of captivating activities, specifically tailored to ignite the students' curiosity towards mathematics. Interactive games, problem-solving challenges, and creative math projects provided a platform for active participation and a fun learning experience. The college students served as mentors and guides, readily sharing their knowledge and passion for the subject. The outreach program at AKIs Urdu School proved to be a resounding success. N
