Book Review competition(22/12/18)


Book review competition for the students of S.Y.B.Sc /B.Sc(C.S) was organized by the department of mathematics on 22nd December 2018. Students were free to choose any book of mathematics as per their own choice. 13 students were participated. The competition was organized tocreate awareness to read the book among the students. They realized the importance of library facilities.

A study Tour to  Science Park, Chinchwad, Pune. A study tour organized by the department of mathematics was held on 19th December  2013 to  Science Park,Chinchwad, Pune. The team of around 30 students of T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three   staff members visited the place.They enjoyed  simulated night sky with various  planets , stars, phases of moon, circumpolar sky on poles and many more features and concepts of basic astronomy.  They also visited various sections of the parks such as Dino park,Fun science,Climate change, energy park & amazing  3D show.They purchased many scientific toys  like mathematics puzzle, balloon  car etc for children, which can create awareness about mathematics & science. Intercollegiate Quiz Competition -2024

  Department of mathematics, statistics in association with IQAC  had organized Intercollegiate Quiz Competition on 14th March 2024. The Competition marked a celebration of intellectual mastery and mathematical excellence. The event brought together enthusiastic participants from various colleges, like Nowrosjee Wadia College, Fergusson College, SM Joshi College, MIT-ADT University creating an environment of healthy competition. Total 50 participants have participated in quiz competitions of which 21 participants from outside colleges. The competition kicked off with an energizing quiz, testing participants' mathematical sharpness and problem-solving skills.   The event provided a platform for students to showcase their academic talents, fostered a sense of community among participants, and promoted interdisciplinary collaboration. Career Guidance and Farewell Program 2023-2024

  A program on Career Guidance and Farewell for the students of   TYBSc Mathematics was organized by the department on 1 st   May   2024 at Conference Hall at 11:00am . This event was coordinated by Ms. Malika Mukdam. Mrs.Shaheen Khan introduced our Vice principal   Prof .Moinuddin Failai, Head of the Department Dr. Amjad Shaikh Felicitated Prof. Moinuddin Falai, Prof. Moinuddin Falai Guided Students for their future endevours. Head of the Department Dr. Amjad Shaikh delivered a lecture on various opportunities of jobs, especially in Government sectors, Banking, Railway & Finance department. Around 14 students.
