Certificate Course in C Programming

 

    It's a matter of great pleasure that department of mathematics had organized a one month certification course on "C Programming” for T.Y.B.Sc students. Mrs. Shaheen Khan was the coordinator. The Certificate course in C programming was introduced to train the students, the basic concepts of the C-programming language. This course involves a lab component which is designed to give the student hands-on experience with the concepts. 

 We aim to provide exposure to problem-solving through programming. It is designed for the students who have no knowledge of computer language. Lectures are conducted apart from the regular time table. Manual is provided to the students for hands on practice. Students get equipped with skills in C programming language. The course commenced from 20th July 2023 to 11th August 2023. 14 students enrolled in the said course. Qualified faculties conducted the theory and technical sessions. It was practical based course which enabled the students to solve the mathematical problems. They got familiar with C Programming. For the convenience of the students a manual (content of C Programming program) was given to every student. They completed the course successfully. 

An examination was conducted after the course. Qualified students were awarded with certificate.

A study Tour to  Science Park, Chinchwad, Pune. A study tour organized by the department of mathematics was held on 19th December  2013 to  Science Park,Chinchwad, Pune. The team of around 30 students of T.Y.B.Sc (Mathematics) and three   staff members visited the place.They enjoyed  simulated night sky with various  planets , stars, phases of moon, circumpolar sky on poles and many more features and concepts of basic astronomy.  They also visited various sections of the parks such as Dino park,Fun science,Climate change, energy park & amazing  3D show.They purchased many scientific toys  like mathematics puzzle, balloon  car etc for children, which can create awareness about mathematics & science. The tour has been proved Knowledgeable and beneficial to all of them. Outreach Program: Educational Trip to AKIs Urdu School, Mahabaleshwar

 On January 27, 2024, the Department of Mathematics,  in collaboration with IQAC, embarked on an enriching outreach program. As part of this initiative, 43 enthusiastic students from SYBSc, SYBSc (CS), and TYBSc mathematics, accompanied by 5 staff members, ventured to AKIs Urdu School in Mahabaleshwar. This one-day educational trip aimed to share knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts through engaging activities and spark interest and appreciation for mathematics among students at the Urdu school. The program unfolded with a variety of captivating activities, specifically tailored to ignite the students' curiosity towards mathematics. Interactive games, problem-solving challenges, and creative math projects provided a platform for active participation and a fun learning experience. The college students served as mentors and guides, readily sharing their knowledge and passion for the subject. The outreach program at AKIs Urdu School proved to be a resounding success. N

  A visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2019 (National Science day)       Department Of Mathematics Organized  a visit to IUCAA on 28 th  February 2024 on the occasion of  National Science day.     13  students of  T.Y.B.Sc participated. They gained the knowledge about Galaxies, clusters and recent research in Astronomy and Astrophysics.  Mrs. Munzarin Sajjan and Ms. Namira Shaikh co-ordinated the event and guided the students.
